Current solutions are expensive, not targeted at users with kidney disease, and inaccurate when tested in different lighting. Our biggest competitor is Vivoo, an app targeted at people trying to diet. This app is user friendly and has a good UI, but lacks accuracy when scans are taken in different lighting. Our tests show a 14.5% maximum inconsistency between tests with individual components of the score varying by up to 150%.

Our goal is to provide an affordable, at home testing kit that comes with a plastic add-on for your phone camera that allows consistent and accurate testing, thereby removing the human variability component from testing. This is inspired by the Invisalign Dental Monitoring app which standardizes testing by having customers use a scanning device to facilitate the scanning of their teeth.
