Safety on Campus
Stingerette Route
Stingerette is a demand-response, shared-ride transportation service for Georgia Tech students aimed to provide safe and efficient evening transportation on Georgia Tech's campus and the neighborhoods in-between.
The Stingerette is available seven days a week from 8:00 p.m. to 3:15 a.m. (excluding Institute holidays and during home football games). To request a ride, use the GT Stingerette app for Android and iPhone, or visit the Stingerette website.
LiveSafe
The application allows for location sharing with the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD) in an emergency and utilizes SafeWalkTM so friends and family can electronically "follow you home".
Download "LifeSafe" from the App Store or Google Play (be sure to enable location services and push notifications when prompted). Sign up using your Georgia Tech email address and create a password. Search for "Georgia Tech" to connect with the organization and add your mobile phone number to your profile (Left Menu>Settings>Profile).
