How big is the problem of inaccessibility to consistent and economical soil testing? We discovered that Georgia has only one soil test center, at the University of Georgia. This is targeted less for urban areas, which have increasingly more agricultural areas. These farmers just entering the urban farming scene may be unaware of the unique problems urban areas can pose to urban agriculture (think, air pollution, water pollution, traffic). They also might not have the financial means to test their soil regularly. We propose a new method of soil testing, where you pool samples of your soil, so you spend less money on sending multiple samples from across your garden or farm.
